Background and Goal
To cultivate talent with the qualities of digital innovation leaders, KAIST GSDS will be supported by two pillars: "Research and Education in Core Data Science Technologies" and "Industry and Society Demand-Driven Practical Experience and Problem Solving"
Research and Education in Core Data Science Technologies: KAIST GSDS envisions providing world-leading research outcomes and educational programs in core data science methodologies. We educate and research technologies applied across the entire value chain of data science, focusing on both theoretical methodologies and practical implementations from problem identification to solution application in real-world scenarios.
Industry and Society Demand-Driven Practical Experience and Problem Solving: KAIST GSDS addresses data science challenges from various industries and social institutions through Project-Based Learning (PBL) and industry-academia research projects, offering data science-based problem-solving methodologies. To achieve this, we provide multi-level field experiences and problem-solving opportunities including COOP internships, course-specific PBL, track-specific capstone PBL, and research center industry-academia projects. Through these experiences, we cultivate GSDS graduates to possess confidence and leadership in Digital Transformation innovation.
